Over 250 Stingrays Found Dead in Mexico
The Chachalacas beach in Mexico, near the town of Ursolo Galvan witnessed a devastating scene today. Over 250 dead stingrays were washed to shore. Locals have reported that fishermen were dumping nets full of sting rays at the beach, and authorities believe that they may have abandoned the stingrays, and left them to die, when they did not get a good deal for them.
Sting rays are quite common in this area, and chopped sting ray wings is a popular local dish. They supposedly taste like scallops. Stingrays are related to the shark family. Sharks are also in danger of extinction as their shark fin is a popular Asian dish. Hoping for the day when humanity matures enough to stop killing other creatures for a few more dollars.
